Annual; runs multiple editions per season.

The HALO Boogie at Dropzone Denmark is one of Europe's most distinctive skydiving events: the chance to make Europe's highest skydive, from 25,000 feet (7.6 km) over the scenic Jutland landscape. From that altitude jumpers get more than two minutes of freefall, reaching speeds around 500 km/h (≈310 mph) before a long canopy glide.

In 2026 the boogie runs over two separate editions — May 20–24 and August 19–23 — and you can join for a single day or the full five. Because jumps are made from such extreme altitude, the event uses the purpose-built HALO2 oxygen system and is led by world-class skydiver Paul-Henry de Baère (PH) and his experienced HALO operations team. Both solo and tandem HALO jumps are offered, along with HALO operator and instructor courses.

This is a serious, experienced-jumper event for the solo side: sport skydivers must hold at least a USPA-C license (or equivalent), with a minimum of 200 jumps and 60 minutes of total freefall time. Tandem HALO jumps are available to newcomers under instructor and HALO2-team supervision. For US jumpers chasing a true bucket-list altitude, it's among the highest civilian skydives available anywhere in Europe.

What is a skydiving boogie?

A boogie is a multi-day skydiving event hosted by a dropzone — typically a mix of organized loads, big-way attempts, freefly camps, canopy courses, novelty aircraft (helicopters, hot-air balloons, high-altitude jumps), and a serious after-hours party scene. Boogies pull jumpers from across the country to one DZ for a long weekend of jumping you can't get on a normal Saturday.

A camp is narrower in focus — a coached event aimed at a specific skill (4-way formation, head-down freefly, big-way, canopy piloting). A competition is exactly what it sounds like: USPA-sanctioned or open competition where teams or individuals compete in specific disciplines.

If you're newer to the sport, boogies are the most fun way to see what the jumping community is really like — and where you'll see what camps and disciplines you might want to chase next.
