About Pacific Northwest Skydiving Center
Pacific Northwest Skydiving Center, located in Mulino, Oregon, operates from Mulino State Airport just 30 minutes south of Portland—making it the closest skydiving center to the Portland metro area and city center. The dropzone sits in the heart of the Willamette Valley, offering an accessible base for Oregon skydivers and first-time jumpers alike.
The center operates year-round with seasonal variations in hours. Winter hours (October 15–March 1) run 10am to sunset on Saturdays and Sundays, while spring and summer (March 1–October 1) extend to 9am to sunset, seven days a week. This consistent availability makes PNW Skydiving a reliable destination for both casual visitors and serious sport jumpers.
Pacific Northwest Skydiving Center offers a full range of tandem skydiving experiences starting at $280 for a 14,000-foot jump, with premium packages available at 18,000 feet including video and photo ($500). Group discounts are available for six or more jumpers at $260 per person. The dropzone welcomes spectators and supports large groups, with ample space for friends and family who want to watch the action.
For those serious about learning to skydive, the center runs an AFF (Accelerated Freefall) course, their signature training program. AFF courses run from April 1st through the end of September each year, structured across seven progressive levels. Students begin with ground instruction and tandem jumps with instructors, then advance to independent freefall and increasingly complex maneuvers—including solo exits, front and back loops, and advanced recovery techniques. Upon successful completion of all levels, graduates earn their skydiving license. The program emphasizes safety and progression, holding students accountable throughout their training.
The center operates a PAC XL750 aircraft capable of holding up to 14 jumpers, with capacity to climb to 14,000 feet. The facility includes equipment rentals, sales, packing services, rigging services, and videography. Wi-Fi is available on-site, and the dropzone is located 20 miles south of Portland with a hotel just minutes away.
Staffed by licensed instructors and experienced skydivers, Pacific Northwest Skydiving Center serves everyone from first-time tandem jumpers to aspiring licensed skydivers and experienced sport jumpers. The dropzone is part of the Northwest Region and maintains USPA affiliation. Whether you're looking for your first jump, your AFF certification, or simply a thrilling weekend adventure in Oregon, Pacific Northwest Skydiving Center offers one of Oregon's most accessible and competitive skydiving experiences.
