About No Limits Skydiving - West Point
# No Limits Skydiving - West Point, Virginia
No Limits Skydiving operates from Middle Peninsula Regional Airport (FYI) in Mattaponi, Virginia, conveniently located 35 miles east of Richmond and just 2 miles from the nearest hotel. Open seven days a week year-round, the dropzone serves the Richmond, northern Virginia, and Virginia Beach areas with accessible tandem skydiving and structured training programs.
The dropzone flies a Cessna 182, offering both tandem jumps and AFF (Accelerated Freefall) training for students pursuing their skydiving license. Tandem jumps start at $235, slightly below the regional average of $275, making No Limits Skydiving an affordable entry point for first-time jumpers. The experience includes a short ground training session, all gear (jumpsuits, helmets, goggles), a 20-minute plane ride, 50 seconds of freefall, and 6 to 8 minutes under parachute. Jumpers receive a First Jump Certificate and a free skydiving bumper sticker with every tandem.
The dropzone specializes in sunset skydiving, offering what it describes as "a horizon's glow like you've never seen before"—an experience exclusive to No Limits Skydiving among local competitors, with only two sunset tandem slots available each day. Sunset jumps are priced at $310 and are particularly popular with both novice and experienced skydivers seeking the most memorable view possible.
Video and photo documentation options are available for $75 (video or pictures only) or $100 when combined (video and pictures). The camera rolls from climb-out through landing, capturing approximately 100 images per jump on the same day.
No Limits Skydiving caters to groups and special occasions. Group rates apply for parties of four or more, with deeper discounts for groups of nine or larger. The dropzone honors birthday week discounts ($10 off jumps within 7 days of birthday), active and retired military discounts ($10 off), and offers gift certificates for those seeking a memorable present. Special offers include a two-for-one deal: if two people jump tandem on the same day, the second jumps for $185—a significant savings.
The facility's AFF program follows United States Parachute Association standards and requires a minimum of two tandem jumps before progression to student training. The program teaches all aspects of tandem skydiving and is designed for those ready to pursue independent skydiving certification. Instructors are USPA-certified, with tandem masters meeting strict requirements: minimum USPA membership for 3 years, at least 500 skydives, and a D skydiving license.
